This blog is a bit confusing. So I'll make it simple. Scroll down for directions to the park, relevant information, addresses, and fun!

A few more additions to today's post (7/10/07) below...

Breakfast will be served at Tepicon Hall the morning after the wedding.

If you have any questions, get ahold of me soon.

And there were typos in the latest post, but my computer's being a jerk, so I can't edit them out.

Hope all is well...

News from the void...

Okay, let me see if I can cover everything people will need to know.

1. First of all, Tippecanoe River State Park (in Winamac, IN) is actually one hour ahead of Northwest Indiana/ Chicago - the wedding time will not really change; it'll be at 6 Eastern/ 5 Central. No need to get there earlier if you're heading in from the region.

2. There are still MANY campsites and 7 cabins left for the weekend of the wedding. Go to http://www.indiana.reserveworld.com/ for details and reservations.

3. Directions. I posted directions from Northwest Indiana and Chicago recently, but I'll post them again for clarification here.

---From Chicago: Take I 80/94 East to I 65 South to Route 30 (east) to State Road 35 (south). Allow around three hours travel time.

---From Northwest Indiana (Simple): Take Route 30 (east) to State Road 35 (south). Allow two hours travel time.

---From Northwest Indiana (Scenic and Direct - for those in the know of the area): Take I 65 South to State Road 231 (toward Hebron) to Route 8 (east) to Route 39 (south) to Route 10 (east) to Route 35 (south). Allow an hour and a half travel time.

---From Indianapolis and points South: Eiter take Route 31 (north) to State Road 14 (west) to 35 (north). This should take around 2 hours. If you want to take I 65, take it to SR 25 near Lafayette, and take that northeast to Logansport. You'll pick up 35 northt there.

---Tippecanoe's address is 4200 N. U.S. 35 Winamac, IN 46996, just in case you want to Mapquest it.

4. There is an entrance fee at the park - $5 for Indiana plates, $7 for out of state vehicles.

5. If you want to bring a lawn chair to lounge around the fire pit after dinner, do so. There are benches, but feel free to upgrade. :)

Directions to the wedding, for those who are interested.

From Northwest Indiana - take 30 east to 35 south. That's it.
From Chicago - take 80/94 East to 65 South to 30 east to 35 south.
From the south - e-mail me for directions, for I'm under the impression that everyone coming from the south knows how to get there.

Also, there is a 5 dollar entrance fee at the park ($7 if you're driving from out of state).

More later.

Notice: The phone number for the Indian Head Motel printed on the invitations is incorrect. The actual number is 574-946-6161. They do have rooms for the weekend of the wedding, but be sure to book soon.

I figured I should update a few things.

First of all, the cabins at Tippecanoe River State Park are currently available only by calling the park directly (574-946-3213). I reserved them for the wedding guests. As of May 15th, however, they are released back into the wild - you can still reserve them, but you have to go through the website, and they're available to the general public again. So get on it!

The website is: www.indianareserveworld.com.

Also, as far as registry goes - if you wish to give us a gift, cash would be best. I don't think we can fit one more pan into our apartment, and we are poor. :) So there shan't be any gift registry links forthcoming.

Most of the invitations are out. If you didn't get yours, I probably didn't get your address.

It's May 7th, and I am headed out into the sun.

Bless and Best,

Daniel
